Artisans Press with
SIRIUS Satellite Radio
in NYC this Wednesday!
Monday, March 5; Volume 1
Pinch me!!!
yes it's true... I
will will be one of the featured guests on NYC
Sirius Radio's Judith Regan show this Wednesday
March 7th at 6am, 11am, 1pm, 6pm & 8pm on
Channel 102. They asked me to
chat about women in business and my tea story.
With a 48 hour notice to be in the Big Apple.
(oh twist my arm...I this makes 8 since August))
It was amazing to see the Sirius Satellite
Studios! I swear It was like Fort Knox! I was
hoping to see Martha Stewart chatting with
Barbara Walters and Howard Stern.
Notta.
But it was still fun and I got to sign the wall,
got a free hat, and took a pic with Ms. J. I
gave her my book outline for Hell on Heelz...she
was either being very polite or really
interested. Her producer Howie, said he would
have me back to promote the book.
(She screams into a pillow)

Alice
Marie Rocks!
While in NYC this weekend, I was able to meet my
friend Alice Marie. I was so proud that I
actually navigated the NYC subway, map-free, in
the dark , three train changes at rush hour near
Columbia University to Grand Central Station.. I
slay myself!
What
an amazing woman Alice is ... a great creativi-tea
coach, insightful, soothing, everyone's
friend, writer, singer, actor, and over-all
talented girl in a very funky NYC pad!(Not to
mention that her husband has really nice hair
and her daughter is cuter than a tree ornament.)
She served HUGE muffins with tea, and I in bad
taste, ate only the lid...
If
you need someone to listen while you bitch and
moan about your pathetic dull life, (Your
friends are sick of hearing it ..ok)? Alice
will rub your hair while you sip tea and lay in
her lap....CALL THIS WOMAN!! Ok forget the hair
thing, but she is fantastic...I swear!

Pssst.....Keep
your eyes peeled for my new book !
Hell on
Heelz: A "Fempreneurs" Guide to Finding the
Business G-Spot"
Spawned from the successful
business group and scads of crazy articles
published in magazines, I have compiled a book
of blab that are most requested into sassy
chapters with funny "slice- of -life" true
stories tucked in. Stories that only happen to
me. (Yes my underwear really did fall out of my
pants leg at Home Depot...clean but static..okay?)
I am almost ready to
rock-n-roll, but I am looking for a
publisher who KNOWS I can promote the hell out
this baby...even in heels! (Cross your fingers
for Harper Collins)!!

Since my long blog entry about
The Secret
I have been flooded with emails from
coast-to-coast with success stories about
the power of attraction in business.
(Shows the power of writing out of ones
comfort zone!!) I have had dozens of
requests for reprints of my article from
FreshCup magazine (October 2005) on "An
Entrepreneurs Mind" and
how visualizing a finished project first and
then working "backwards" to achieve it, is
key. This is inline with the principals of
attraction and giving. With that said I am
going to pass on some words from Brian
Tracey below.
Enjoy and apply!

Practice the
Reciprocity Principle
There is a principle of
reciprocity in business that is extremely
powerful. It is simply this: If
you do something nice for someone else, they
will feel warmed to do something nice for
you and you have build a
relationship from kindness, giving
and trust. You should be looking for
opportunities to go the extra mile to help
people in life and business, to do more than
you are paid for, to put in more than you
take out.
Action Exercise: Make a
list of what you have given/helped with this
year Vs. what you have taken from others. If
your side isn't tipping, you're not growing
or going anywhere. You will stagnate.
I
can tell you that now.
By extending yourself, you improve your
positioning in others mind and increasingly
differentiate yourself and your company from
your competitors who are after the same
business. This goes for life and work.
KEY: If you do this long
enough and strong enough, you will
eventually develop the partnership to the
point where your competitors don't have a
chance against you.
Giving is key. If you are spinning
your wheels and are no further in life than
you were a year ago, examine your heart.
Stay tuned for the next edition!
Cheers,
Lis~
